ARTIUM manages an extensive collection of contemporary art, especially of Basque and Spanish artists. Based on this collection, a number of exhibitions have been organised both in and outside the Centre-Museum.
On the other hand, unlike other exhibitions of permanent collections, ARTIUM changes the works selected from its own collection every year. On each occasion, a number of different works are selected from the ARTIUM Collection to illustrate a different theme and with a different architecture. On other occasions, small exhibitions have also been used to show other works from the collection.
Likewise, ARTIUM also produces exhibitions based on its collection for shows in other art centres.
Finally, ARTIUM receives requests for a large number of works from its collection for inclusion on loan in exhibitions throughout the world.
