IV ENCOUNTERS BETWEEN CONTEMPORARY ART ARCHIVE DEPARTMENTS
Information management and Social Web technology applied to archives
22 and 23 October 2008
The existence of cooperation and communication tools enables the formation of virtual communities with their own dynamic information flows in which information, experiences and knowledge are contributed and interchanged.
It is necessary to be familiar with the cooperation applications provided by the technologies of the Social Web in order to improve the processes, products and services offered by information centres, making them more participative and orientating them towards the end user. This approach sees information management as an important factor in change and competitiveness and as a foundation stone of knowledge.
These Encounters will provide the opportunity to learn about the projects being developed by different documentation centres in the Social Web but above all they aim to provide a forum in which to share experiences that have been used to develop cooperation programmes between institutions.
